Christmas in Bethlehem 11 Days Tour
Package Itinerary
Arrival at Queen Alia Airport, meet local guide and deriver for assistance and proceed to the hotel in Amman – check in, dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast proceed to Mount Nebo, the place where Moses viewed the Promised land – later visit to Madaba Church to see the Byzantine Era mosaic map of the Holy Land – After lunch proceed to buy Dead Sea products. Arrive Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Amman border to cross the Holy Land – meet local guide and driver for assistance at the Israeli side, then proceed to Nazareth, visit the Annunciation Churchin Nazareth (”the announcement of the Angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary) – Luke 1:26 – 38, visit St. Joseph Workshop; visit Mary’s Well and then proceed to Cana to visit the Church of Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle (”the transformation of water into wine” – John 2); then proceed to visit Mt. Tabor, the site of Transfiguration of Jesus Christ.
Check in at hotel – Tiberius for dinner and overnight stay.
After Breakfast, check out and proceed to visit Mt. of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew Chapter 5: 1 – 8); visit Tabgha, Church of the Multiplication of Fish & Loaves, and then proceed to visit St. Peter’s Primacy and enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Continue travel to Capernaum where Jesus lived and healed the sick, preached in the synagogue and performed miracles (Matthew Chapter 9:1, 4:13). And then visit House of St. Peter. Proceed to Yardenit Baptismal site. Long drive to Bethlehem for dinner and overnight stay.
Christmas Day for a time of prayer; then visit the Milk Grotto and Shepherds Field – proceed to visit Mt of Olives in Jerusalem and also enjoy a panoramic view; visit the Church of the Ascension, Pater Noster Church via Palm Sunday Route; visit Dominos Flevit Church where Jesus wept over Jerusalem and then continue to visit the Garden of Gethsemane. Proceed to Mt. Zion to visit St.Peter in Galicuntu, then King David’s Tomb and the Upper Room. Overnight stay in Bethlehem.
After Breakfast, proceed to visit the Old City of Jerusalem, enter the Old City from St. Stephens Gate, walk the 14 Stations of the Cross, and visit the Garden Tomb and the Empty Tomb of Jesus Christ; Visit the Cardo, the Jewish Quarter and the Wailing Wall and have a panoramic view of Dome of the Rock and Aqsa Mosque; proceed to visit Ein Karim, visit the Church of John the Baptist, visit Jericho, the oldest town in the Holy Land, visit the Sycamore Tree (Zacharious the tax collector climbed the tree to view Jesus), and view Mt. ofTemptation; The day ends with visit to the Dead Sea to enjoy Dead Sea Float, the lowest spot on earth, 400 meters below sea level(the water is full of minerals).
Back to the Hotel for dinner at Bethlehem and overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out, drive to Bethany, the House of Mary & Martha and the Tomb of Lazarus. End the day with a long drive to TABA., Egypt Border. After border formalities, enjoy dinner & overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out and visit St. Catherine Monastery – Burning Bush – Elijah’s Chapel; Drive to Cairo. En route visit the springs of Moses (The water of Marah – external view). Drive through the Ahmed Hamdi Tunnel built below the famous Suez and enter the African part of Egypt.
Check in and overnight stay in Cairo.
After breakfast, Visit Giza Pyramids & Sphinx, visit the Church of Holy family & Old Coptic Cairo Churches; Visit Pharonic Village – Enjoy Evening dinner on Nile Cruise. Overnight at hotel in Cairo.
After breakfast, late Check out and a time for shopping in Cairo – Evening proceed to the Airport to board flight for Hometown.
Arrives in Chennai.
